  2. Assessor

    By means of a cooperative agreement the Town of Homer provides assessment services for properties within the Town and Village of Homer, the Town of Virgil, and the City of Cortland.

  3. Buildings & Grounds

    The Buildings and Ground Department is responsible for maintenance of City buildings and grounds, capital budget projects, City vehicles, and more.

  4. City Clerk

    The City Clerk manages City records and administers a variety of permits and licenses for the City.

  6. Code Enforcement

    The mission of the City of Cortland Code Enforcement Division is to provide for the health, safety, and welfare of the residents and visitors of our community through education, enforcement and impartial application of all laws and ordinances under our jurisdiction.

  8. Fire Department

    The City of Cortland Fire Department is a combination department consisting of 36 volunteer and 35 career firefighters operating from two stations. The Department specializes in both fire safety/suppression and code enforcement.

  14. Wastewater Treatment

    The Cortland Wastewater Treatment Facility first entered service in 1939, providing primary sewage treatment to the City of Cortland.
