The Cortland County Chamber of Commerce and partners in Central New York are collaborating to offer a new service helping businesses find new employees. Using an invitation-based approach to recruitment, Quietword™ was designed to remove the need for job seekers to spend hours searching through thousands of job advertisements, and to control the quality and size of candidate shortlists for employers.

Job seekers may access Cortland Quietword through the Chamber's web site at www.cortlandchamber.com. Once there, they will be able to complete a detailed professional profile while maintaining their anonymity and privacy. Quietword(tm) is targeted not just to active job seekers, but to all people -- whether they are studying, unemployed, underemployed or happily employed but open to evaluating new opportunities.
