Thoma Promotes Cunningham
As of January 1, 2010, Rich Cunningham has been promoted to Senior Consultant for Thoma Development Consultants. Rich has been employed as a Program Manager at Thoma since 1995. During his tenure with the company, he has written many successful grant applications; been highly involved with our customers regarding project development and needs assessments; and managed or teamed on comprehensive and strategic planning projects, to name a few notable areas of accomplishment.
He has also been highly involved with downtown projects, particularly the startup of the Cortland Downtown Partnership, utilizing his skills as Certified Main Street Manager, which he achieved through the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s Main Street Institute. Rich has also been instrumental in administering Cortland’s two New York Main Street grants awarded for the downtown. He is the Program Manager assigned to organize and facilitate the development of the City’s Comprehensive Plan.
Rich originally hails from Ticonderoga, New York and is a graduate of Syracuse University. Bernie Thoma notes, “Rich has proven to be an invaluable member of our organization and is deserving of this recognition. He will expand his role in generating new customers, meeting the needs of our existing customers, and will gradually broaden his responsibilities by assisting in the day-to-day operations of the company.”
