A Little Bit About the Mayor
Tom Gallagher was elected Mayor of the City of Cortland on November 4, 2003 and took office January 1, 2004.
The former executive director of the Cortland County Chamber of Commerce, Tom is someone who has spent several years making a difference in Cortland, building partnerships for downtown revitalization, education, industry, health care and community service. Tom’s focus for Cortland has been, and continues to be, to create a sense of economic opportunity and build on community pride.
