The Mayor's Corner Crown Neighborhood Award Program: Application Directions The Crown Neighborhood Award/Neighborhood Enhancement application form for 2002 is now available. This website outlines the scope of the program services available and the delineation of responsibilities between City of Cortland departments and residents. Please keep these in mind as you evaluate the needs for your chosen block or proposed project. Need of the area, scope of the project, as well as a committed neighborhood and its leaders will be the criteria for rewarding neighborhood participation in the program. The Crown Neighborhood Award is a new resource in the City of Cortland for 2002. The mission of the funding is to provide an additional tool for investment in Cortland neighborhoods and to provide assistance to neighborhood stakeholders who desire to facilitate improvement projects within their neighborhoods. The Neighborhood Award funding is part of a larger vision to build the character of Cortland neighborhoods, making them better places to live, work, and raise children. Please fill out the entire form and send back to the Mayor's Office, 25 Court Street, Cortland, NY 13045 by May 24, 2002. Understand that once your block proposal is accepted and the work is approved, no changes, or additions to your proposal will be allowed. Your proposal and any additional detail found during your block walk through will be the final contract of services for your block. When writing up your block proposal, please be sure to delineate exact addresses and locations. If you are unsure, you can work with the Mayor's Office at 753-0872. There are no fees associated with this service. Applicant/Sponsor Responsibilities |
