Crown Neighborhood Award Program: 
Applicant/Sponsor Responsibilities

The key to a successful neighborhood enhancement program is neighbor or neighbors who are willing to step forward to be the organizer of the neighborhood program.

1. Neighborhood Outreach; contact block property owners and residents and inform them about the program and available services and forms of assistance.
    
2. Block maintenance; identify priorities for sidewalk and tree planting through the Office of Community Development.
    
3. Block beautification; identify violators of City waste removal regulations; encourage neighborhood participation in periodic litter pick up, sidewalk sweeping and lot clean up, landscaping, house painting maintenance, litter, trash collection and recycling rules and programs, as per handouts provided by the Department of Public Works.
    
4. Be the contact person through Mayor Mary Leonard’s Office with questions or concerns.
