The Cortland Police Department is actively recruiting Police Officers with policing experience. In order to qualify as lateral transfer to the Cortland Police Department, you must currently hold a competitive class position of Police Officer and have completed the probation period. Additionally, you must have been appointed to your current permanent position from a Certified Civil Service list.
