Cortland Skate Park Opens May 3
Opening Day has finally come to the Cortland Skate Park. Be sure to be on hand Saturday, May 3 at noon when the gates finally open for the season. A big change this year is that there is no admission to use the skate park. That’s right! No admission charge! Helmets are still required, and the park has a limited number available, but it is recommended that participants purchase their own helmet.
Our Award-winning outdoor skating facility is located at Yaman Park and is open to skateboards, rollerblades, and 20 inch bikes. On school days the hours are from 3 pm to dusk. All other days, the hours are from 12 noon to dusk. Helmets are required; elbow and knee pads are strongly encouraged. Youth under 18 must have a parent waiver signed to use the Skate Park. For more information about the skate park contact the Cortland Youth Bureau at 607-753-3021.

He wins a $50 gift certificate and a season’s pass to the park, and, of course, a t-shirt with his winning design. The winning shirt is available to everyone who purchases a season’s pass to the park. For more info, call the Bureau at 753-3201.

Onondaga Skate Park Field Trips
Skateboarders will want to get “on board” for the trips to Onondaga Skate Park this summer through the Cortland Youth Bureau. The Onondaga Skate Park is a “one of a kind” on the Northeast, an all concrete park similar to the ones you find in California. Space is limited so sign up early or you may be left behind! And remember, if you have a season’s pass for the Cortland Park, you’ll get a $1 discount at the Onondaga Park admission.
